Course Description:
The 3D Basics & Arch Pro course is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of the world in 3 dimensions, and how to create and manipulate 3D objects and environments. The course is divided into three main sections: modelling, texturing and materials editing, and rendering and camera techniques.
In the modelling section, learners will gain an overview of spline, mesh, poly, and NURBS modelling techniques, and how to use them to create complex 3D objects. They will also learn how to add doors, windows, grills, and other essentials to their designs, and how to work with elevation and architectural blueprints.
The texturing and materials editing section covers how to paint and unwrap textures, and how to use the material editor in both classic and slate modes. Learners will also learn about different types of lighting and how to work with them in both day and evening settings.
In the rendering and camera techniques section, learners will explore different types of lights, including standard, photometric, and Arnold lights. They will also learn how to use the Arnold, ART, and Scanline renderers to create high-quality 3D images and animations. Finally, they will explore advanced camera techniques, including depth of field and camera tracking.
In the second half of the course, learners will dive deeper into specific areas of 3D design. They will learn how to design and create furniture and props, including sofas, tables, chairs, kitchen utensils, electronics, and outdoor elements such as grass, plants, trees, and river basins. They will also learn how to plan and design urban road and building layouts, and how to create a reusable library of props for future projects.
Throughout the course, learners will be encouraged to push the envelope for perfection and to think creatively about how to apply their newfound 3D design skills. By the end of the course, learners will have a deep understanding of 3D design principles and techniques, as well as a wide range of practical skills that they can apply to their own design projects.
